Day 78, Post-Op Tuneagers Almost Christmas Blues: Sunday, December 4th!

Uttering a word is like striking a note on the keyboard of the imagination. -Ludwig Wittgenstein, philosopher (1889-1951)

Hello Tyrannosaurus and Lady Mary! Hope we 'll see you both at the Open House! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Joltin' Jim! Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful, wonderful concert! Both Lady Dar and I certainly enjoyed it immensely. Please convey our thanks and congratulations to all you fellow Tuneagers, orchestra members and impressive Conductor, Gordon Dawson, for such a terrific start to the Christmas Season. [Enjoyed seeing a number of fellow hikers today at the Penticton Tuneagers, "It's Almost Christmas" concert at the Shatford Centre.

Some of you may know that Jim French sings with this group. Big Bad Al and Mary, Jake and Vikki and Marian and Tim were there so we had a good chat before performance started, during intermission and after the show was finished.] All the very best. Take care of yourselves. Stay warm. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Concert!

Hi Penticton Snow Man! No, they seldom seem to find them. In 2001, they caught hold of an American tourist who wanted to impress the folks back home, and, as a result, was sent to prison for three months. In 2015 they arrested a drunk who collapsed on site. In 1973, a 17-year-old guy stole (!) the goat, and put it in his back yard.

About immigration, tell me all about it. Sweden has taken on about ten times as many Syrian refugees as Canada over the last couple of years, on top of twenty years of massive refugee immigration from the Middle East and Africa. It is essentially eroding our social systems. And the question why Sweden has to take on such a disproportionate number compared to any other Western country has never been answered. Probably it has to do with some kind of bad conscience over staying out of of two world wars. Some politicians like to call Sweden a "humanitarian super power". In the meantime the extreme right is getting more and more popular support, around 20% in the polls, and rising.

What's this about Icelandair? Where are you heading? Bestestos and fondestos to you and the Mrs (whose humanitarian efforts I really admire), Marcello

Hi All, I am a friend of Pat’s and a big fan of Stanley Kubrick. God willing the two are compatible! One can go to a movie they have no idea about, like maybe just a lucky date (with expectations), and within the first 3 minutes you see that “Kubrick Stamp” on the movie. His last movie, “Eyes Wide Shut” was … I don’t know, but what a way to go! Critical acclaim placed it as the best movie he ever made, to “he must of died of shame”. Personally, I found it interesting! What will the Trump Era bring us? Well, like it or not, we are bulldozed into it with our eyes wide shut. We are looking hard, but we might as well just close our eyes and succumb to total unpredictability. Really, really, scary … unless you live in Texas, then maybe your taxes will go down … (there is already no state tax in Texas)

Further discussion on this topic will be in the South West corner of the Burns Street Emporium durning the Dec 10th Xmas open house. 5 drink minimum! Branko Perić PS: The final numbers were, … 25% of the American population voted for Trump. [*] Democracy dëmäkrƏsē (n): the process of two wolves
and a sheep, voting on what to have for dinner [*] PS #2: I would not write this letter in Stalin’s Russia!

Don't worry, Branko. I'm sure none of the people on this list would prefer to have lived in Stalin's Russia. Poor comfort, though. So sorry to miss the open house. Too far from Stockholm. Kjell Flight Itinerary for Chloe All booked for Christmas! XoxoYou were right...she doesn't come until the 22nd
