Day 97, Post-Op Hit the Target Blues: Friday, December 23rd!

Every noon as the clock hands arrive at twelve, / I want to tie the two arms together, / And walk out of the bank carrying time in bags. -Robert Bly, poet (b. 23 Dec 1926)
Hello lovely Corinne and Patrick, From our living room to yours J ….. this is last Sunday’s snowfall, so memorable for Vancouver. Very beautiful to look at and walk in with Bogart (one day only), not so much fun to drive in J. Here is wishing you a terrific and cozy time at Christmas, filled with lots of Christmas cheer and happiness. And to a super 2017! PS1 Patrick, I hope hip #2 is healing well now PS2 Let’s hope we manage to make a trip to Penticton next summer!! No promises. Wishfully thinking only! J Love Yda & Arni
Dear Yda, thanks for the lovely picture. We are in rainy LA. Have had some warm sunny days since we arrived on the 19th. We will head for Vancouver on the 27 and spend New Years with Wayne & Michele. Chloe arrived yesterday and flies back on the 27. Have a wonderful holiday and hope to see you in 2017.
Hugs Corinne

Hi Little Yda and The Imperiales and Arni! Trust you and Arni are well and not too, too frazzled in the days before Christmas, but rather enjoying the season and its myriad festivities and family gatherings. Thank you for the simply lovely snap and best wishes. As you probably know by now, we are in LA for Christmas. Chloë flew in, late yesterday afternoon. Fondestos from Lady Dar. Take care of yourselves. Trust our paths will cross, my Darling, as you say, in the not too, too distant future. Happy Christmas to you, Yda, and Arni, as well as a Healthy New Year to you both! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Thank you Patrick for your extremely thoughtful and tasteful Hanukah card!
Wonder how you had time with all the no doubt legendary chaos surrounding you and your time out on the roads. Hope you have an excellent trip back, send us some good vibrations as you roll past Oakland on your way north! Cheers!
Cactus

Hi Vincenzo! Delighted and very pleased that you liked the card. Had to laugh about the "legendary chaos" you alluded to. Right on the mark, as always! Still, older, though not necessarily, wise, we are enjoying the chaos. Loads of laughs and plenty of hooch help immeasurably., as you can well imagine.

Breakfast will be Ayn's scrambled egg tacos. Once brunch is over Chloë and I will head for Target to look for last minute stocking stuffers while Nana Mouskouri and Ayn will do their own version of Christmas shopping. Not sure if I'll be able to ride today as weather seems a bit iffy. Not overly fussed as I should probably give my hips a bit of a rest anyway. At any rate, life continues apace. Fondestos from Lady Dar, an island of calm in this wave-tossed sea of emotions! Will be shouting greetings as we speed by Oakland! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Carol Riera
Hi kiddies! Could I please have your full address and postal code? Have a very Merry Christmas in LA. Love you! 🎉🎄🍾

Hi Chooch and Brunello! Trust you are both well and not too, too frazzled in the days before Christmas, but rather enjoying the season and its myriad festivities and family gatherings. Thank you for the Christmas wishes. I'll be sure to pass them on to Ms Tinsel Town and The Lost Burritos, aka Los Horridos!

We will head north, day after Boxing Day, to be back in Vancouver, on the 29th, for three nights with Flamin' and Sarge, before driving to Penticton, on January 1st. Aside from anything else, when there, we need to begin the application process for new passports as our current ones expire on January 9th! Chloë received a bit of flak at the airport and her passport expires on March 9th!

Fondestos from Lady Dar. Happy Christmas to you, Chooch, and Brunello, as well as to the lads and their lasses, and a Healthy New Year to one and all! Cheers, Patrizzio!

This evening we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Ayn's favourite Japanese restaurant, Kabuki, with gang. Wonderful, wonderful food. Have been a number of times, on earlier visits. Were to go to an area in the close-bye neighbourhood of Winnetka to see Christmas lights, homes noted for their elaborate and festive Xmas themed festooning but rain was coming down so heavily when we left the restaurant that we decided against it. Instead, made straight for home to drink rum and eggnog and watch Home Alone!

Movie had just finished when the power went out briefly. When driving home there was lightening and thunder so we are wondering if a power station transformer was hit. Ayn took Winston out for his nightly walk and rain was torrential, rivers of water running down the streets surrounding her building.

Pics: Kabuki; some of the dishes; then with Samantha & Alex, Pierre, Chloë, Ayn and Lady Dar; Winston, ready in his raincoat, having his evening meal, before his nightly walk.

Hi Saint Kilian! Thanks for the Christmas and New Year's wishes! Terribly sorry to learn of your nasty accident but relieved that your injuries aren't even more serious. Sounded like a pretty significant collision. All the best for a speedy and full recovery, it goes without saying. Fondestos from Lady Dar. Take care of yourself, St Kilian. Happy Christmas to you and family as well as a Healthy New Year to one and all! Cheers, Patrizzio!
Rae Tanner Hello party people! Looking forward to our Christmas pajama day! Since it's been so cold, rainy and windy this week and due to continue, we've decided to only heat the hot tub on Christmas Day...so bring a suit but prepare for a much smaller swimming experience...and a much bigger dining experience! See y'all soon! XO Patrick James Dunn And plastic wine glasses with tiny water-wings!
